Our Mission
Islamophobia and its manifestations of hate, discrimination, and attacks on Muslim religious and cultural symbols is a reality. Recognizing this disturbing global trend, the United Nations has approved a resolution setting March 15th as the International Day to Combat Islamophobia.
These are our mission objectives:
- To institutionalize the International Day to Combat Islamophobia and turn this landmark recognition into a highly effective tool to combat Islamophobia, The March 15th Forum invites organizations, civil societies, and private sector entities to support and participate in the United Nations-designated International Day to Combat Islamophobia. Through the organized events and invitations, the Forum collects information on those organizations and private sector entities supporting and organizing their high-visibility events to combat Islamophobia and those refusing to join the efforts to combat Islamophobia. Invite, and we know who is unwilling to stand in solidarity with the Muslim community. Use these findings to increase awareness about Islamophobia.
- Our second objective is to develop robust research and investigative resources to study the nature of Islamophobia. This includes monitoring the sources, promoters, funders, and enablers of this phenomenon. We aim to provide our study, analysis, and findings to civil society and policymakers, empowering them in their fight against Islamophobia.
- Our research has established a nexus between the corporate, private sector, and political Islamophobia and how it enables Islamophobia. Hence, the Forum has developed a campaign initiative:
Businesses making millions within the Muslim community have an obligation to combat Islamophobia and prove that they are not engaged in anti-Muslim prejudice, hate, and discrimination.
Like US laws, the burden of proof must rest on the shoulders of the business community. This is a campaign for accountability, not a boycott.
We wish to achieve these objectives through global alliances and collaboration of international and regional organizations, human rights organizations, news media, influencers, and opinion leaders worldwide to increase awareness about combating Islamophobia.
